OT Assessment & Guidance – 3–4 Session Block
Sometimes families need short-term support to better understand their child’s development and plan the next steps. Our Occupational Therapists can step in to provide guidance, problem-solving, and practical strategies to support your child’s development and wellbeing.
This short 3-4 session assessment and guidance block helps you understand your child’s developmental profile, learn practical strategies, and feel confident about the best next steps for their support. The block is designed to give:
-
A clear picture of your child’s strengths and areas for support
-
Practical strategies you can start using at home, school, or in the community
-
Guidance about the most helpful next steps, which may include therapy, school supports, or community services
What does the block involve?
Session 1: Parent Consultation
A detailed discussion to learn more about your child’s strengths, challenges, and your priorities for support.

Session 2: Child or Parent Focus
If your goal areas are for support with understanding emotional regulation and behaviour, this is best addressed through parent sessions rather than sessions with your child.
